The *Hybrid Load Balance Efficiency* (HLBE) is computed as the ratio between
*Average Useful Computation Time* and the *Maximum Useful Computation Time*.

It can be expressed as:

\[HLBE = \frac{Average Useful Computation Time}{Maximum Computation Time}\]But it can also be expressed in terms of *Hybrid Parallel Efficiency* (HPE) and
*Hybrid Communication Efficiency* (HCE):

In order to fully understand the formulas, you may also visit the glossary of the metrics terms.
