SPACE

Evolving 7 among the most used and widespread European Astrophysical and Cosmological (A&C) codes to the exascale paradigms is the main objective of the SPACE CoE (Centre of Excellence in Scalable Parallel Astrophysical Codes for Exascale).

SPACE will pursue this objective through co-design activities that bring together scientists, community code developers, HPC experts, hardware manufacturers and software developers, to evolve the existing state-of-the-art codes into new products able to efficiently exploit the forthcoming computing architectures.

The essential strength of the Centre of Excellence is to connect and federate a significant fraction of the numerical A&C European community.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreements No 676553 (POP1) and 824080 (POP2).

Currently, the project receives funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101143931 (POP3). The JU receives support from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme and Spain, Germany, France, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
